RaveHeart extends beyond subjective boundaries and tells a story that arises between the room and the bodies that move there. A story that is exclusive to the moment and yet ancient, retold throughout history and for all time.
With the subcultural expression of rave culture and Carl Jung's theories about archetypes and the collective unconscious as a starting point, we've explored the experience of community connected to the physical effects of sound in a collective movability. The process has led to an interactive and spatial performance installation that we'd like to share with you.
RaveHeart is a construction of the subconscious and a deconstruction of the rave.
All you have to do is dance.
But we also ask you to dress in black.
RaveHeart will play at Inkonst in January 22, 23 & 25 2025
Concept and performance:
Ilkka Häikiö, Amanda Monceau, Emmy Högström Tagesson and Anna Nordlund
